We stayed in a balcony stateroom on deck 6 at midship and it was the perfect location. The location enabled us to take the stairs to all the places we wanted to go, no need to wait for the elevators. The location of the room also gave us the perfect view of the sunset on the way back to Los Angeles. The ice show is excellent and should not be missed. We weren't too thrilled with the ports. The beaches in these ports are very rough with murky water and brown coarse sand. We went to Lover's Beach in Cabo San Lucas. Do not go there!! It's across from where the ship docks. The only way to get there is by water taxi and to get off or back on the water taxi is to jump. It's not easy when the waves are constantly crashing in to shore and the litte boat is rocking despites hands trying to hold it in place. Some of us were thrown back to the water taxi because we weren't fast enough climbing back. There is no docking pier for the water taxi. We went to Las Floras Resort in Mazatlan, recommended by the ship. It was much nicer than in Cabo. I wish the ship bring back the mid-night buffet. It was so beautifully done. It's now replace with a similiar theme located outside by the pool deck. It's not the same!!! They cut back quite a bit on food, i.e. selection and option. Overall, we have an excellent vacation but will not go back to the Voyager class. It's the Freedom class now!!!
