The cruise overall was good and we had fun. We found the staff treated us very warmyly for the most part although a few, very few though, were a bit gruff and abrupt. Our dining room staff and buffet area staff were excellent. Our stateroom attendant was a total gem!! We loved her. The buffet was excellent but the dining room food was not as good or presented as appealingly as Carnival did. It was very good overall though and the dining room very beautiful. Our biggest disappointment was that the entertainment was very much geared to a senior citizen crowd and not fun, upbeat and as much of a " party" atmosphere like Canrival had. Bits of it were a lot of fun but overall pretty sedate and dated.. And...the fact that there was smoking all over the boat in the major areas where activity/entertainment took place was a shock and unpleasant. There were no laundry facilites and we had to pay more than $50.00 to have laundry done. It was more than a 24 hour turnaround and I would prefer to do my own laundry. There were no facilities on the boat to do so. Our ports of call were wonderful, eduacational, enlightening and fun!!!
