This was my husbands and mine first cruise and it was a very enjoyable experience. I have to admit that it is a little overwhelming when you first board to try and figure out where everything is so allow yourself time to get orientated. The staff on the ship were just excellent. They were friendly and very helpful. It was so interesting to see people from literally all over the world on the cruise ship. It was fun to talk to the staff and ask about their homeland and families. We were always greeted with a smile. The dinner experience was just fabulous. We had so much fun getting to know the people at our table - I would highly recommend that you get a seated dinner table and just enjoy the people at the table. Some great friendships were made and such interesting topics were discussed after the days activities. You had the choice of either going to sit-down dinner or to the buffet. I strongly suggest the sit-down dinner. The waiters and assistant were just excellant with service and fulfilling our every whim. The entertainment on this ship was also excellant. It was not low key at all but very up-scale. Some nights we would laugh ourselves silly and other nights we would sit back and enjoy the music and entertainment. Well worth going to! Our inside cabin was always neat and clean. Every night we were greeted by some "towel character" which I have never seen done before. They were really exceptional. Let me add here that you have to be the type of person that doesn't mind not having a window and that its okay to turn the TV on and see what the captain sees. They are good rooms to have if you like to take afternoon naps because they are so dark. However, if you like to look outside or just to have natural light coming in, then don't book an inside cabin. On the other hand, how much are you really in your cabin? The choice is yours. Just some things that I noticed. Should you want to still stay in shape, you could go to the fitness room or take a walk on the deck and look out at the sea! That was good to do. The ship was always clean and really, no garbage laying around. One item that I would suggest you purchase was the wrist bracelets for motion that you can buy at a drug store. They are pressure points applied on your wrist. At times you really felt the ship movement and those wrist bands really seemed to work. Our overall experience was a really good one. The ports that we landed in were very nice and the excursions were well worth taking if you want to check out the port. I suggest booking that ahead of time. Yup, we would go again for sure. It was a great experience.
