The best thing about our cruise was the customer service. The dining room staff and stateroom attendant (Thomas our waiter, Alick our assistant waiter and Garfield our stateroom attendant) were professional & provided excellent service. They remembered our names, entertained the children, remembered our preferences and were incredibly friendly and attentive. They made us feel like royalty and family alt the same time. We also enjoyed the opportunity to visit different places. Getting on and off the ship at ports was easy and efficient, as was disembarking at the end of our holiday. There were many memorably things about the ship; the artwork, promenade, beautiful dining room, we loved going to the cafe for treats, tea and sandwiches, the variety of food and view in the Windjammer, the free ice cream by the pool, our girls (age 16 & 11) both enjoyed the Adventure ocean programs geared to their age and we liked the time on our own this afforded us, the fact that we could put away and organize everything we packed for a family of four into one inside stateroom due to the fact that although very small, they are very well appointed. The ice show was amazing and we really enjoyed the comedian, magician/comedian and Quest. The only thing that could have been improved during our experience was the inconsistent response I got from the one nurse on call when I called to let her know my daughter was very ill. She told me there was nothing she could do unless I brought her down to medical. I explained that she was violently ill and bringing her through the ship would prove challenging for me on my own. I was told there was nothing they could do unless I brought her down. So I took care of her on my own in our room till she was better (24 hrs) When my husband became ill later that week with exactly the same symptoms, they (a different nurse) sent someone with a wheelchair to bring him down immediately and took very good care of him. That would have been a very helpful response the first time. We were impressed with the measures they took to manage the spread of viruses. Overall, we had a lovely vacation.
