Overall I had a wonderful time. I am sending a gigantic "thank you" to the dining room staff. They were very friendly and did excellent jobs. They really cater to the passengers. I did not like the table they first assigned us for dinner though. It was in a corner and right beside a waiters' work station. It was cramp, busy and noisy. In my opinion, they should get rid of that table altogether. Anyway, we requested a new table and they gave us a much better one on deck 3 the very next day. I commend the maitre d' and his staff on their prompt action. I was not impressed with their entertainment. There was only one lady among the chorus who really has a good voice. The others were mediocre. Even their choice of songs were not that impressive. However, I heard the group that sang Motown hits were excellent. I was sorry I missed them , as I was not feeling well that night. The staterooms (inside overlooking the promenade deck) was an excellent idea (kudos to RCI). I would rather have this type of stateroom than the outside stateroom. There are more entertainment in the promenade than just looking at the sea. My only comment is that roooms do not seem to have good insulations. I could hear our neighbour's TV. Speaking of TV, RCI could invest on newer ones, flat screen mounted on the wall if possible. It will open up more storage space. I would suggest that they should have laundry rooms on some decks. Although they have laundry service, it could be very expensive using this service. With airlines limiting the amount of suitcases one can carry, a laundry room in the ship is advisable. Carnival and Princess have them, why not RCI? My next comment has something to do with the Port of Los Angeles. We were a bit early arriving at the port, and we started lining up outside of the building. It was cold that day and every one was freezing for an hour and a half. I felt sorry for the children and the older people who had to endure the cold weather. For this kind of situation, the port authority should make provision to let people in to wait inside the building, instead of standing outside and freezing.
